Bill Eger, PE, CEM®, CC-P®, ISSP-SEA, CPM, LEED AP, founder of ETHOS Sustainability, has over 20 years of experience solving complex, systems-oriented climate action, sustainability leadership, and clean energy transition challenges to advance local and global progress for local and state governments, corporations, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and industry.
Bill has served in executive-level positions and is an experienced climate action, energy, and sustainability leader developing and executing equitable, community-wide clean energy transition & climate action plans and programs.
Bill has served as an expert advisor on clean energy, climate action, and sustainability issues and policies to government executive leaders and policymakers.
Bill is an authority on organizational energy management, including building energy performance & energy efficiency, clean and renewable energy resources, energy resiliency, and decarbonizing and electrifying transportation systems.
Bill's expertise further includes public utility rate regulation, state net-metering and electricity reliability transparency and reporting policy, and integrated electricity system planning.
Bill is skilled at developing and leveraging collaborations across a diversity of organizational stakeholders and building partnerships with private, non-profit, trade, public, and regional, State and Federal organizations.
Bill holds Computer, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering degrees, and is pursuing advanced professional development in urban planning, strategic foresight, and complex systems analysis. Bill has completed advanced programs through the Harvard University's Executive Education in Sustainability Leadership, Michigan State University's Institute for Public Utilities Advanced Regulatory Studies Program, and numerous FEMA Incident Command and Emergency Management trainings.
Bill is a registered Professional Engineer, and holds several certifications, including Certified Energy Manager (CEM®), an International Society of Sustainability Professionals Sustainability Associate, a certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P®), a US Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional, an Eco-District Accredited Professional, and a Certified Public Manager. Bill is proudly an Eagle Scout.
